If only you could see the smile on my face when I received an email from Isabella at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston asking if I was available to photograph an upcoming yoga event in the Shapiro Family Courtyard. Um, yes please! I am a huge fan of the MFA and often head over for lunch and a view of their latest exhibitions. I've often felt that just being in the glass-enclosed courtyard makes me feel incredibly zen, at home and inspired all at the same time. The idea of hosting a yoga class in this space before the museum opens is basically the coolest thing ever in my mind.
You can read about the event on the Facebook invite. Here's the high level:
Date: Saturday, January 9th {9am-10am} - Doors open at 8:30am
Where: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston {Shapiro Family Courtyard}
Bring: Your yoga mat, water, blocks, and anything else you'd like to practice with
What to expect: An awesome one hour yoga class taught by Sara DiVello before the museum opens. You are invited to stay to view the museum after the class has ended.
Pricing: Free to members, $25 to nonmembers {Museum admission is $25 so it's basically like getting a free yoga class with your entrance purchase.}
I hope to see many of you there!
PS - Have I mentioned that my engagement session was at the MFA?! That's how much I love it there! {Is it too cliche to say we look like babies here?!}
This Fairfield County, CT photography session was held at a private home in Westport, CT.
