Cambridge, MA City Hall Wedding {Wilberthe + Will}

There is nothing more intimate than a wedding ceremony with the bride and groom witnessed by their closest family and friends. I am honored that Wilberthe and Will chose me to photograph their intimate wedding this May at the Cambridge City Hall. We met for their beautiful ceremony and  took portraits of the happy couple with their immediate families and best friends on the City Hall lawn.

I think many couples getting married at City Hall don't think to hire a photographer because it's not your typical wedding. Well, hopefully my series on intimate weddings can help change that because I have to say, I absolutely love photographing them. When you strip away the details and focus on the ceremony and the people you're the closest with, you're left with something so beautiful, it's hard to put to words. Borrowed & Blue - Sweet Home Nuptials in Cambridge By Tracy Rodriguez Photography

One of the most amazing things happens at intimate weddings like this one, I get to spend quality, uninterrupted time with the bride and groom. Lots of it. Sometimes even a full hour just for portraits. And if you've ever worked on a wedding day planner, you'll understand just how much time that is. Not only does the couple get time for just the two of them {well, three of us I should say but often I'm way away shooting telephoto just suggesting little directions from time to time} but they also get to be more relaxed for portraits because we aren't trying to squeeze them in in 20 minutes. It's relaxing for them and photographs like a dream for me. Now, you add in two of the most genuine, kind hearted, gorgeous people, a charming Cambridge backdrop and the love and support of their closest friends and family and you get this beautiful day. I was thrilled to photograph it because working with two lovely lovebirds like Mariana and Michael was exactly why I got into wedding photography from the start.
