Boston, MA Engagement Session {Amanda + Mike}

This past spring, right as the weather was starting to feel fresh and you finally wanted to be outside, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful couple, Amanda and Mike, at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain. I love shooting here and was so excited to meet with this lovely couple ahead of their wedding this summer. Here are a few previews from the day. Enjoy!

Providence, RI Engagement Session at the Roger Williams Park {Christyn and Jonathan}

One of my favorite things about photographing engagement sessions is that I get a little sneak peak into the lives of my couples. I get to see the way they hold hands, how they make each other laugh, the little looks that they give each other and so many other cute nuances. And for a sap like me, I'm pretty much always covered in goosebumps as I learn all of the adorable things that they have done for each other. Even better is when a couple brings me into a space that is important to them. For Christyne and Jonathan, that place is The Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI. Believe it or not, both Christyne's parents and grandparents got married in the park and we were able to capture photographs in many of the same locations inside the park. From the Japanese Garden to the Temple of Music, we toured around grabbing sweet moments in beautiful locations that had so much meaning to the couple. Talk about goosebumps.

I also got to know both Christyne's mom and Kodiak, Christyne and Jonathan's handsome pup, so that was an extra special treat. Kodiak joined us for a few images at each location and then his doggie-grandma took him for walks and treats while I spent some time alone with the couple.

We had great weather, beautiful fall foliage, and tons of privacy in all of the nooks and crannies of the park. I am so excited to photograph their wedding next year at the Loon Pond Lodge in Lakeville, MA!

Narragansett, RI Engagement Session on Scarborough Beach {Erin + Brian + Braiden}

Amazingly, in the midst of the heat wave earlier this week, the weather cooled down for one night, providing the perfect temperature, a light breeze, a calm ocean, and that golden beachy evening light that seems to last forever. It was truly the perfect day to photograph Erin and Brian's engagement session with their son, Braiden. Erin and Brian are getting married next month at The Towers in Narragansett, RI and we photographed their engagement session just down the road at Scarborough Beach. With such amazing weather, all of the beaches were packed full of families enjoying the day, but we were lucky to find a little alcove with flat sand, beautiful rocks and a distant jetty as our backdrop. I had such a great time photographing these three because they are so fun loving and cheerful and totally up for getting their feet wet and just enjoying the time together. I cannot wait for their big day next month! Until then, enjoy some previews from their engagement session!

Scituate, MA Engagement Session at the Scituate Lighthouse {Mary + Bradford}

Oh happy day! The summer is finally here! And I think it unofficially-officially started at Mary and Bradford's engagement session last week. While we chatted about planning for colder weather, the day came and it was just perfect - warm but not too hot, breezy but not too windy, and the absolute perfect lighting that would make any photographer happy as a clam. {Beach pun intended.} Mary and Bradford chose the Scituate Lighthouse in Scituate, MA as their backdrop and honestly, we were surrounded by 360 degrees of pure beauty. It was the perfect mixture of romantic and calming and what's more, Brad's grandfather actually built the jetty that beautifully jets into the water by the lighthouse. Can you believe that?! Talk about the perfect location for both beauty and personal meaning!

Needless to say, I am thrilled that I will be joining this lovely couple in Florida next year to photograph their wedding day! I know we will capture more beautiful beach photographs of these two and their loved ones in Naples!
