Haverhill, MA Yoga Photo Shoot - Teacher Mini Sessions {w/ The Yoga Tree}

Back in May, I had the pleasure of photographing The Yoga Tree in Haverhill, MA for the very first time. We booked a full day session, photographing everything from the studio itself to a Vinyasa class and a Restorative class to teacher mini sessions, and we even captured some photography of the lovely owner, Caroline Pineau, with her husband and two dogs. Well, at the end of the session {before seeing even one photograph!} Caroline asked me if we could go ahead and book a follow-up of minis in the fall. It felt like forever away at the time and now I'm not sure where the summer went, but we held our sessions earlier this month at Winnekenni Park in Haverhill on the most gorgeous fall day, and I have to say they were just as much fun as our first shoot together. A huge thanks to Caroline, Checka, Shauna, Sami, Sarah, Julia, Shannon, and of course, Shannon's adorable little Elsa!

Westwood, MA Yoga Photo Shoot at the Center at Westwoods {w/ Tracy Affonso}

These last two weeks have been filled with beautiful yogis, amazing new locations, and all things fall. And let me tell you, this makes for one amazingly happy yoga photographer. Yes, it's true that October in my field is usually a crazy happy mix of loveliness and mayhem as all photographers in New England look to get in as many shoots in this gorgeous time of year as possible all the while finalizing the season's weddings. So, if you happen to see me running to the Whole Foods Coffee Bar in my sweats, a bit disheveled, just know in return your facebook feeds will soon be filled with all things lovely, and all clients, as always, will be getting on time photo deliveries. That said, I truly hate how our generation still glorifies being busy so let's also remember that photographers pretty much hibernate from November to April. {ha!} It balances out in a way that's just right. But, enough about me.

I had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Tracy Affonso last week and I could not be more excited to share some previews with you. After hosting a workshop for breast cancer survivors at The Center at Westwoods, Tracy suggested hosting our yoga photo shoot at this truly remarkable location. It's not only a meditation center and yoga studio, but also has some incrediblly beautiful grounds with a koi pond, statue garden, labyrinth, and breath taking foliage. Add in a beautiful - inside and out - yoga teacher like Tracy at golden hour, and I'd call that the perfect yoga photo shoot.

I was first introduce to Tracy at her class at Stil Studio in Dedham, MA and am happy to share that she also teaches at Chakra Power Yoga, Waltham Yoga, Artemis Yoga, STARR Life Studios, and Life Time Fitness' Life Power Yoga. She is also the Regional Director for the Massachusetts branch of bodhi & mind yoga, which offers physical, mental, and emotional support to women in every stage of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.  Now this is one incredible yogi!

Hingham, MA Yoga Photo Shoot at The World's End {w/ Ali Cocci Smart}

I could not be more excited to share photographs from my yoga photo shoot last week with Ali Cocci Smart. Ali introduced me to The World's End in Hingham, MA, and wow wow wow, am I in love. If you love nature, hiking, beauty, or all of the above, I highly recommend taking a trip here. You feel as though you're on your own little oasis. And, as if that wasn't enough, Ali is the absolute sweetest girl to work with. She's absolutely stunning and while we had met briefly at the Barre & Soul Teacher Training Mini Sessions, I am so glad that she reached out to schedule a full shoot together so I could get to know her even better. I definitely recommend taking a class with this beautiful lady! You can find her teaching online teaching virtual classes for Barre & Soul and in person at the new Soul City Yoga in Lynn, MA! {Shout out to their grand opening on 10/17! I wish I was going to be in MA this weekend because they are having open studios both Saturday and Sunday! Their owner, Shanel Anderson was also part of the Barre & Soul Teacher Training Mini Sessions linked above. This studio is definitely one to check out!}
