Westport, CT Coastal Yoga Photo Session at Sherwood Island State Park {w/ Kathy Genao}

If you’re looking for a coastal New England photo shoot location, I highly recommend Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT. I photographed the beautiful Kathy Genao here last month and am excited to share previews with you today from our yoga photo session.

Kathy is a 500-RYT. She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Three Sisters Yoga in NYC and her 300 hour teacher training at Blue Osa in Costa Rica. She is committed to bringing her clients stability, strength and peace using her AYAMA (Applied Yoga Anatomy and Muscle Activation) training. She is also training to be a Yoga Mindset Coach to help her clients access more self energy and turn towards themselves with more compassion, curiosity and acceptance.

She is currently offering private individualized yoga sessions online. She is based in New York. You can follow her yoga and mindfulness inspiration on Instagram.

The Mudra Gallery

I am excited to share a new page on my website, The Mudra Gallery.

Mudras are symbolic hand positions that are used in many Hindu and Buddhist practices. They aid in linking the brain to the body. And, they photograph beautifully. This gallery features some of my favorite mudras to photograph, along with a few additional hand gestures and arm positions that are not mudras but are still meaningful and beautiful.

Yogathon 2022 is on the Field This Sunday!

Just when we thought Yogathon couldn’t get any better, they upped it from the Gillette Stadium Field House to the actual field! Yep, that’s right, you’ll be celebrating where the Patriots play!

Yogathon is a day long yoga party that benefits Boston Children's Hospital. It’s a day of inspiration, of reaching out, and of just plain fun. Every year, the energy in the air is palpable.

This year, I am excited to share that my associate photographer Shawon will be photographing the event on behalf of Tracy Rodriguez Photography. While I would love to be there in person, I know that Shawon will be absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to see it all through her lens and share the photographs with all of you.
