Dedham, MA Family Photo Session {W/ The Barton Family}

I don’t even have words for my love for this beautiful family. I’ve known Ali for over a decade. She was my first yoga teacher and has been one of my best friends ever since meeting. Her family feels like an extension of my own so much so that showing up to this family photo shoot without my little one in tow felt almost a bit weird and we were joking that he could have joined them in the photographs. We have been quaranteaming together and been each other’s saving grace these last few months. How lucky we are to have them in our lives. So, without further sappiness, please enjoy some previews from the Barton family photo session at The Endicott Estate in Dedham, MA.

And stay tuned, more fall family mini session dates will be posted here on the blog.

If you’re interested in booking a socially distanced family photo shoot, please contact me today. I will be taking a limited number of clients in September and October. I will also be offering mini sessions. Stay tuned.

Minis are great for families looking to get a short stack of images so to speak. If you're looking for a few images for a holiday card, this is your session!

They are quick in nature so they're good for young kids who don't have a ton of patience to be photographed for a long period of time. And, dads rejoice! Just kidding. But not really.

Well behaved dogs are welcome when the location permits.

They are back to back with other families so there isn't that super personalized individual vibe you'd get from a full session but I strive to still capture the unique energy of your family and children.

I ask all families to let me know their priority shot. Are you hoping to get one of the whole family, just the kids, kids individually, kids just with mom or kids just with dad? Let me know and we'll shoot in that order. We may have time for everything I just listed, but if you tell me what's most important to you, we'll shoot that first and go from there.

My style is candid so while we can try to get one with everyone smiling at the camera, I find the candid tickle fight style images to be the most adorable and memorable.

COVID 19 Update: To keep both me and you safe, there are a few new parameters this year.

  • Clients who have tested positive for Covid 19 or have been around anyone who has tested positive within the last 14 days will be asked to reschedule. There will be no charge to reschedule sessions for this reason.

  • Clients are asked to reschedule their session should any member of their family experience Corona Virus symptoms within the last 14 days. There will be no charge to reschedule sessions for this reason.

  • Clients are required to wear a mask to and from their session. (You can obviously remove your mask while being photographed.)

  • I will be 6 feet or more from you and your family at all times.

  • Clients may not stand behind me to get little one’s attention.

  • Clients are required to stay socially distant from other families as they arrive for their session and wear masks while waiting.

  • As always, these will be outside.

  • Please note that I will wear a mask before and after sessions but will likely remove it during the session as it causes my viewfinder to fog. (A viewfinder is the part I look through to see you.) I will not come within 6 feet of your family at any time.

  • No hugs. :/ It is going to be so hard to not hug each and every one of you! I’ve been photographing these sessions and watching your families grow for so many years now, but we have to stay safe.

  • If you have additional suggestions on how to stay safe while socially distance photographing, I welcome your feedback.

Medfield, MA Family Photo Session {W/ The Kennedy Family}

It was such a joy to photograph this beautiful family! If you follow this blog, you know I met Jenny at our 500 hour yoga teacher training with Jacqui Bonwell last year and we met up recently to photograph her beautiful yoga practice. After our yoga photo shoot, I stayed to capture some images of the whole family. While I had yet to schedule any session during the Covid pandemic, we decided we could meet safely, staying distanced during the entire session. I’ve decided to offer a limited number of family sessions this fall, in this same safe manner. Please reach out if you’re interested.

If you’re interested in booking a socially distanced family photo shoot, please contact me today. I will be taking a limited number of clients in September and October. I will likely also be offering mini sessions. Stay tuned.

Medfield, MA Yoga Photo Shoot {W/ Jenny Kennedy}

I am excited to share some previews from my yoga photo shoot with the lovely Jenny Kennedy. Jenny and I met last year in our 500 hour yoga teacher training with Jacqui Bonwell. I feel so lucky to have met her and the entire group in that training. We had an incredible group of people. Timing just seems to work out for things like these. And while I haven’t been shooting during the Covid pandemic, I decided that photographing Jenny outside and distanced would be safe for both of us. Without further ado, please enjoy some previews from our yoga photo shoot.

You can find Jenny teaching at Burning Wheel Yoga. And while I know you can’t see it here in the photographs, Jenny has one of the most incredible voices I’ve ever heard. You don’t want to miss any opportunity to hear her chanting.
