Register for Yogathon 2020 with Lead Presenter Jacqui Bonwell!

By now you’ve heard the awesome news that New England’s one and only, Jacqui Bonwell, will be the lead presenter for this year’s Yogathon! It’s our 10th year and we’re going big! So here’s my shout out, as a participant and photographer, that you should definitely be there. Join your studio’s team, my team, shout out Jacqui Bonwell, join as an individual. It doesn’t matter. It’s one team, really.

It’s a heartfelt day of community and fun as we raise funds for Boston Children’s Hospital. So get your asana over there. Common Ground Yoga is even going to have an aerial yoga rig at their booth. Now how cool is that?

UPDATE: Yogathon has been postponed due to the corona virus. I will update here once I know the new date. Thank you for your continued support of Children’s Hospital.

Framingham, MA Yoga Photo Shoot {W/ Common Ground Yoga}

The best perk of what I do is getting to meet so many incredible yogis all of the time. This was my first time photographing Common Ground Yoga and I really want to thank Lauren and Erica and their entire community for being so lovely and fun to work with. We photographed everything under the sun in our two day session from vinyasa yoga classes to restorative yoga classes to aerial yoga and kids’ aerial yoga, yoga teacher training sessions, ball rolling, teachers together, and even a series of mini sessions that’s going to be its own blog post because this one is just too dang long.

I’m excited to share some previews with you today of this beautiful space and community. If you haven’t yet been, I definitely recommend checking them out. You’ll see me in an aerial class some time soon because it’s been a decade since I’ve tried it and I was super intrigued photographing it. And, if you’re planning on attending Yoga Reaches Out Yogathon at Gillette Stadium on April 26th to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital, spoiler, Common Ground Yoga is going to have an awesome booth with their own aerial rig! Definitely go find them and check it out. If you haven’t registered for this event, go do it! Join their team, join mine, join on your own, it doesn’t matter. Just be there because it’s an awesome event and all about seva.

Also, if you’re interested in becoming a yoga teacher, Common Ground Yoga has a yoga teacher training starting in the fall of 2020 that you should definitely check out.

Now, enjoy some previews!

My favorite poses to photograph {2019 Recap}

What photographs best has been and always will be you. It’s really that simple. My main goal in any photo shoot is to capture my clients’ personality. I look to create an environment where people feel comfortable to not just be themselves but to express that on film. It’s not really about the poses. It’s not about any kind of superficial beauty. It’s about a deep inner beauty. I photograph healers, space holders, reiki practitioners. And yes, I’ll ask you about upcoming workshops and events to make sure we capture back bends if you’re running a heart opening workshop, but mostly the world just wants to see you. That said, there are poses I go back to often, that I keep in my back pocket, because the shapes they create speak to me. And there are new variations and poses that clients bring to me that are fun and exciting. So, here are my favorites from this past year, gathered in this one little blog post, with the huge caveat that it’s really not about the poses at all.

Thank you to all of my clients featured in this post. Their sites are linked below with their photographs if you want to give them some digital love.
