It was such an absolute pleasure to photograph Kayleigh and Eddie's beautiful wedding day this past summer. These two are simply the sweetest, most fun and lovable couple there ever could be. I have a soft spot for college sweethearts and for all things Connecticut so hearing about Kayleigh and Eddie falling in love at UCONN just melted my heart. I loved photographing their engagement session on the gorgeous campus last year. Growing up attending the UCONN women's basketball games, I had never actually gone around to see the rolling hills of farm country so it was fun to play tourist and roam around together to capture all of the beauty.

For their big day, Kayleigh and Eddie chose the Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts. From their beautiful gardens to the rustic barn doors and stone walls, this venue has so many unique areas perfect for photographs.

Perhaps the most gorgeous part of it all, were the bright and beautiful floral arrangements created by Flowers by Semia. The ceremony altar was jaw-droppingly beautiful, full of bright and light pinks and rich greens. They continued into Kayleigh's bouquet, the bridesmaids' bouquets, the center-pieces and room accents, the wedding cake, and - another favorite of mine - the couple's sweetheart table chairs. You'll see them in the photographs below and I swear they'll make your jaw drop too. Such beautiful work. I hope to be able to photograph more from this amazing vendor! {Hint, hint, if you're a future bride of mine!} I know Kayleigh's mom played a big part in picking the florals so kudos to flawless taste! The contrast against the perfect blue sky at the altar and the bright white reception chairs and wedding cake photographed like a dream.

Kayleigh herself was absolutely glowing on her wedding day. Her smile was infectious and truly lit up the whole room. And Eddie's reaction seeing her for the first time that day was definitely one of the sweetest moments. But now, enough of my gushing, it's time to enjoy a select few and share in all the magic of their day.

OFF AUTO Beginners Photography Workshop - Dec 3, 2016 - Dedham, MA

I could not be more excited to announce that I will be hosting another Beginners Photography Workshop! Mark your calendars for OFF AUTO on Saturday, December 3rd from 9am to 1pm!

This workshop is perfect for beginner photographers who are looking to learn more about photography, specifically how to take their DSLR cameras off Automatic and into Manual. If you purchased a camera for a Europe vacation or to photograph your kids but defer to your camera phone instead because your fancy camera is too daunting to take out of the bag, come learn more about it to make it less scary and more accessible. We'll learn how to manipulate the settings to create the photographs you are looking to capture.

This four-hour workshop will be held with no more than 10 students to keep an intimate and personalized setting, and will include a two-hour open forum presentation, one-hour practical {yes, actually using your camera!} and one-hour regroup with Q&A over lunch.

The cost is $295 and there are currently two promotions to reduce the cost for those looking to save a little money. The early bird $265 special starts today and runs through November 4th. And, if you book with a friend, you can take an additional $30 off. You read that right! If you do both, sign up before 11/4 and sign up with a friend, you can save $60!

Email me at tracy@thrgallery.com with any questions.

Note that you do not have to own any camera equipment to attend the workshop. I will have my equipment on hand for those who do not yet own DSLRs. If you do own a camera body and lens(s), I highly encourage you to bring your gear so that you can learn right on your own device.
