Attleboro, MA Wedding at Colonel Blackinton Inn {Elizabeth + Sean}

I loved every minute of photographing Elizabeth and Sean and their beautiful family this past summer. I met Elizabeth through the yoga community only earlier this year but she is one of those people where I felt as if I'd known her forever. From taking her yoga class to photographing her wedding, I can say that she is one of the warmest, most down to earth people I have ever met. Of course with a personality like that, you can only imagine that the person she's chosen to be her partner is also incredibly real and compassionate as well. And, meeting her three girls on her wedding day was so much fun as well! All three are incredibly sweet, so much fun, and awesome as bridesmaids!

Photographing Elizabeth and Sean's love on their wedding day was so refreshing. {No pun given all of the rain that day!} You could see it in their faces during their ceremony, from the sincerity, to the huge smiles, this couple had my heart melting. We were super lucky that the rain parted for a short while to grab some photographs around the property and at a beautiful park across the street. And while we didn't see a rainbow during photographs, I am certain that one came out later that day, a sign from her father on her wedding day.

Colonel Blackinton Inn was the perfect venue for this wedding, a totally intimate and relaxed setting, completely beautiful all around. This venue is winning my venue of the year award for sure because not only was it completely beautiful to photograph, but the staff was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond in all of the ways that matter, literally getting their hands dirty to make everything perfect. I highly recommend them to those of you looking to host an intimate wedding. {And please pick me to photograph it because I now cannot wait to get back here to shoot some time soon!!}

I hope you enjoy looking at all of the fun, all of the love, and all of the awesome dance moves as much as I loved photographing them! Enjoy!

Elizabeth teaches at NRG in Mansfield, Universal Power Yoga in Norwood, SheBreathes Balance and Wellness Studio in Walpole and Firefly Yoga in Foxboro. I highly recommend checking out her yoga classes!

And here's a shout out to all of the amazing vendors that made this day possible.

My Favorite Yoga Poses to Photograph {2016 Recap}

My yoga clients often ask me which poses photograph best and the answer, always, is ... it depends. I love to photograph the poses that make you smile completely, burst into laughter or simply feel all the feels. They're the ones that show people your personality and all of your uniqueness. Needless to say, this varies by yogi, by season, by day sometimes. So it's hard to give one generic answer. I want to capture the poses where you feel confident, happy, strong, tranquil, energized, etc. etc. etc. depending on what makes you you, how you want to market yourself, and truthfully, how you are feeling that day. I find new love for poses watching all of you explain to me why you love them, why you're hosting a workshop dedicated to them, or why you practice them for an extra 10 minutes at the end of class even when the teacher doesn't queue them. If you have a yoga photo shoot scheduled or you've been thinking about reaching out, take time to think about it. What makes you, you?

That said, this answer is often met with a half smile at best. So, with the it-depends-caveat in mind, I've put together a top 10 list for you of poses that I found absolutely beautiful to photograph this year.

Here are are my top ten poses to photograph in 2016!

I have all of my yoga clients include at least one seated pose in each session because I find simple seated postures to feel approachable to the viewer and show off your beautiful faces! These are great for marketing "about me" sections on your website.

A big thanks to all of my 2016 yoga clients! Included above in order of appearance, Anna Saluti, Whitney Fitzpatrick, Kathryn Ford Richter, Jessi Dellert, Rachel Hunt, Julia Tirabassi, Lynne Minchello, Stephanie Kirkos, Shauna Burke, Shanel Anderson and Theresa Laham

Teacher Feature: Kathryn Ford Richter

Back in August, I met the lovely Kathryn Ford Richter, a life and wellness coach, essential oils educator, yoga teacher and nurse. {Yes, she really does it all!}

With the goal of creating some beautiful photographs for her professional website, we went over to Houghton's Pond in Milton, MA and had an absolute blast shooting all over the park. Kathryn even went on the water with her Stand Up Paddle Board which was pretty spectacular to photograph! If you missed it, you can check out the blog I originally posted about her yoga and branding photo shoot and I am now so pleased to share her new website with all of you!

Kathryn is a phenomenal life coach and I highly recommend checking out her small group program launching this January. This program is perfect for those of you who set out to make New Year's Resolutions every year yet struggle to make them stick. Kathryn will work with you to set goals, look at what's holding you back and give you the tools needed to create lasting change. She limits this group to four people so sign up today!

Below are a sampling of pages. I encourage you to check out more at www.kathrynfordrichter.com. You can also follow her business on Facebook and Instagram.

Have you launched a website, Instagram profile, or other marketing material featuring images from our photo shoots? If so, I'd be happy to shout out your stuff! Shoot me an email and let me know what you'd like featured.

I know firsthand that networking and referrals are such a strong part of any small business so the more interconnected client and audience relationship building I can do, the better. Making connections is one of my favorite parts of the Tracy Rodriguez Photography Community.
