TEAM Tracy Rodriguez Photography is coming to Yogathon 2017!!

Yogathon 2013

To say that Yoga Reaches Out has touched my heart would be an understatement. As many of you know, I have been involved with this incredible nonprofit for the last five years. Each year I have committed to fundraising, to introducing the organization to more and more friends and family, to joining their committee, and, of course, to photographing the big event, New England Yogathon!

Yogathon 2012

If you've been there you know, there is just something absolutely incredible about this day. The collective energy in the room of 1,000 giving, like-minded, beautiful people is palpable. I look forward to this day like a kid waiting for Christmas.

To give you a bit of background, each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $250 for Boston Children's Hospital. And through those donations along with sponsorships, I am so proud to say that this event has donated over $1,000,000! What an amazing accomplishment.

Each year, I have looked to commit more, whether that's bringing in more people, or more fundraising or more awareness and I am so incredibly excited to share that ... drum roll ...

This year, I am creating my own team!

Along with the personal goal that I set for myself each year of $1,000 in fundraising, I am adding to that the goal of gathering at least 25 people to join Team Tracy Rodriguez Photography for a day of yoga with a purpose! So please mark your calendars for Sunday, April 30th, at Gillette Stadium (Foxboro, MA)!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at tracy@thrgallery.com or call me at 203.984.0013.

And, you can view, download and print photographs from previous years here.

 I'm looking forward to seeing you on the field!!

Holyoke, MA Wedding at The Log Cabin {Elizabeth & Jason}

I first met Elizabeth and Jason for their engagement session at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, MA, last fall. Elizabeth and Jason brought along not only their two adorable and friendly dogs but also Elizabeth's mom and good friend, making it the largest engagement session entourage I've ever had! And, one thing that has always stuck with me was that Elizabeth's Dad hand carved pumpkins with their wedding date for them to celebrate their engagement and have for the photo session. It was such a nice gesture and I loved capturing images of the pumpkins, the pups, and of course, the couple! {If you missed it, you can check out Elizabeth and Jason's engagement session blog post here.}

On their wedding day, Elizabeth's bridesmaids created little DIY wooden sun tokens so that they would have "sunshine in their pockets" all day and night. Given the rainy forecast, it was such a treat to see the girls pulling out their sunshine all night long. Another close friend of Elizabeth's is incredibly talented and did her hair in a gorgeous fishtail braid. I envy that kind of hair magic!

With friends and family like these, it was easy to see that Elizabeth and Jason are truly blessed. Their families were so incredibly welcoming and sweet to me with every interaction I had. I feel lucky to have met them. And I know that the rain must have meant continued good luck for the happy couple!

And now, please enjoy a handful of photographs from their wedding collection. This was my last wedding of the season so check back again in the spring for more weddings in 2017!

Here's a big thank you to the vendors who made this day possible!

Boston, MA City Hall Wedding {Julie + Patrick}

Julie and Patrick held an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family this past summer in Boston. Their good friend married them in a beautiful ceremony in the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park right on the water. Originally, the couple was planning to get married at Boston City Hall and we were going to walk to the park for photographs but their friend pointed out that she could marry them anywhere and why not hold the ceremony under the beautiful green, sun-splashed canopy as well. A street performer played some jazzy Sinatra, there was a light summer breeze, and the mood was perfect.

I absolutely love photographing intimate weddings because they are just that, intimate. The sometimes-over-the-top details are left behind and the true love intention of the day, shared with those closest to you, remains. I couldn't help but tear up a bit when they said their vows. The way they looked at each other and down towards Julie's belly and their little one on the way had everyone a little teary-eyed and full of smiles.

The couple chose Lucca in the North End to enjoy some delicious Italian food so we grabbed some photographs along the way in a few of Boston's iconic brick alleyways. I cannot wait to share a handful from their collection with you.

Best of luck to you, Julie and Patrick, and so much love to your little bundle of joy, too!

Here's a big shout out to the vendors who made the day possible.
